Nattyboh74 Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 So Ive upped my limit to around 100$ ( $125 is the MAX, I know people love to push it up higher lol ). Im looking at Dobyns Fury line up ( very well talked baout here, hence the spending increase ) and I need them to be no longer than 7' as I plan on using them out of the kayak. The Frog rod might be pushing this, I might have to go 7'3'', as thats seems like the only option with the Furys. I need three rods, one is going to be for frogs and Im sure jigs could go on that too. The other two are going to have to be separated into two classes or spinners, buzzbaits, top water, few cranks ( very seldom ). Pretty much all lures minus plastics. Looking for Fury line up / other brands using the lures above, $125 max price tag per rod Quote
Smallieseeker Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 If looking at the Dobyns fury I would go with the 735 for frogs and heavier jigs, 705cb for trebles, and I know you want to keep it under 7 feet but the 734 or 733 in the dobyns line up are special. They are super versatile and are an all round good rod that has many uses. Quote
Nattyboh74 Posted June 3, 2018 Author Posted June 3, 2018 Why does the length matter, I thought all the rods are the same, or at least the length was preference. But power and action should be equal, no? Quote
