Any feedback on your experience and or thoughts on said rod. Looking at possibly getting a 7'3 to 7'6" rod.  Do have a Phenix X10 and just trying to have a full fiberglass. Mid to deep depths.

After reading so many good reviews I bought the Dobyns Champ Xp 736 glass. Absolutely love the rod! It’s light for a glass rod and has great balanced. I do how ever use this rod for mainly chatterbaits/Spinnerbaits and the occasional heavier top water. But if I ever find my self needing to throw something in the 6xd range this would be the rod I would use. And just to point out I have never lost a fish on the rod yet.

I own two of the 736cb glass rods. One of them always has a Chatterbait tied on and the other I use for whopper plopper 110s and 130s. I can’t say it enough, phenomenal rod for both techniques - and you can also throw spinnerbaits and deeper diving crankbaits on it as well.

I also use the 736 as a dedicated bladed jig rod. It's awesome.

I have a 704 and 705 cb. The 704 is graphite, and my favorite rod by far. It is light, crisp, with plenty of give loaded up with a nice fish. It keeps them pinned just right. It feels like a fantastic tool in my hands. That being said the 705 I love second best. I simply use it for anything a bit large for the 704. It is fiberglass, and I love that about it. The give is incredible for a MH rod. I like it more than my LTB jig rod but alas they are for different things. To me these two rods are indespensible in my arsenal and cover many bases. I had originally ordered a 704 in graphite and fiberglass, ended up sending the glass back for the 705 glass, and could not be happier. I feel like my setup is complete with these rods added in. Depending on what im fishing for I have a chronarch ci4 on both, or maybe a curado k xg on the 705 and keep a chronarch on the 704

Thanks for the feedback Fisher dudes.

Seems like I'll switch things around and go for the 736 instead of my first two I was looking at. Was actually thinking 736 may of been heavier than I was needing.   From what I gather it can whip just about anything.

Greatly appreciated.

I sent Dobyns an email a few months ago asking if their glass rods were full fiberglass or composite and Richard confirmed with me that their glass rods are composite.
