I like them alot. You are lucky. My local Walmart doesn't carry anything but junk rods/reels. They don't even carry Berkley Lightnings or Lightning Shocks. I get better prices on lures from DSG whenever they have a sale. Walmart probably doesn't carry much in fishing gear because fishing sucks so bad in this area. Quote
Smalls Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 I’ve got the Christie rod from walmart. It’s one of my favorite rods. It’s an extremely sensitive rod for the price, and has really handled some abuse. I’ve had it for about a year and a half, now. If it breaks, I’ll definitely replace it with another 1 Quote

LionHeart Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 Thinking of replacing a Cabelas ZX Swim jig rod with a Bucoo SR 'Trap Caster.' The intent would be for an all purpose mainly 3/8 spinner baits, chatter baits, poppers, and 3/8 oz crankbaits. Really like the ZX a lot, but itching to try a Bucko SR. If anyone has experience with both, is it worth swapping rods or are they pretty comparable? Not looking to jack the thread but didn't think I should start a new one just to ask. Quote
tander Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 Been using Falcon rods since the 90's, still using 2 of them. I really like the Low Rider series although the Buco rods are really great for the money. Quote
GReb Posted July 12, 2018 Posted July 12, 2018 I like Falcon rods because they are more moderate-fast than fast. They load up very well and just have a “feel” that I like. The head turner and amistad models specifically Quote
