Hi there guy and gals,

I was wondering if any members have or are looking to sell a Shimano Quickfire Custom X-2000GT spinning reel? I have been looking for one for quite sometime now and figured I'd ask you all.

Also is there any place I can buy replacement bearings for one this model? I currently own one but the bearings need to be cleaned or replaced.

Thanks in advance!

Wow Those reels take me back to the late 70's. I have 2 left up at my place at the lake & they both have extra spools & are in excellent condition. If it's not pouring rain this weekend & take some pictures & contact you,I might sell one. If someone has one the want to sell take it for I am on the fence.

Alright sounds good! If you don't want to sell it I totally understand, and don't want you to get rid of something that means a lot to you. I own one right now it is my dad's, and originally came on a old Ugly Stik but I think the bearings need to be cleaned or replaced. Do you know if they will clean up alright or do you know if I can buy replacement bearings anywhere?

Thanks!

If the bearings are not rusty/corroded/full of sand try some wd40 to dissolve the old grease then soak with acetone, blow dry with compressed air and re grease.

Depends on the bearing, spinning reels’ internal bearings get grease.

If you measure them boca bearings have a huge supply of sizes.  Might be good so you don't have a bunch of shipping charges getting one here and there as you find them.
