TopDog Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Try some seafoam. That should help clear the clean the arbs if there is anything in there. Quote
fisherdave Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 I am not sure what your ploblem is but in my experince with motors I wouldnt use starting fluid it seams like once you start useing that stuff your motor gets addicted to it and then it want start with out it my little 7.5 has the same problem hard to start but once you get it started it runs like a champ. Then move on to the next cheapest fix. Never start with an expensive fix first. You might try the fuel pump next. I got lucky with rebuilding that once and now my motor starts like it was new. Before I always had to pump the ball if i was idling for more than a minute. Quote
Team_Dougherty Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 You should not use stating fluid on a two cycle motor. There is no lubricant in it and you can wash the oil off of the bearings and cause premature failure. if you want something similar use your regular 2 cycle fuel in a windex type squirt bottle. Quote
