Daiwa Legalis LT vs RG-AB

I understand the differences in specs, but the RG has more bearings and is cheaper while still being smooth, my problem with that is only 8 pounds of drag for size 2500. I’m not sure if that’s enough. I also am looking at an Legalis LT in 1000 for my light rod but they cost more and are lighter but with less bearings(which doesn’t matter anyway) but the drag is about the same even though it’s 3 sizes smaller. The 1000 Legalis will go without saying for the light rod but should I get a 2500 one also instead of a 2500 RG for my 7’MF bass rod? Sorry if that’s not worded too well

They're both great reels. Eight lbs. of drag is plenty for spinning.  Drag ratings are way over thought vs. what is necessary.

My original Fuego casting reels tested at just over 5 lbs. of drag pressure.  A Scorpion tested at a mere 3 lbs. so 8 lbs should be more than enough.
