Sam365 Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 I bought a 2014 Bass Tracker 175txw. A 60 fourstroke was on it but I wanted 75 hp. At that time the only option was a 75 opti. I asked the dealer to put a 75 fourstroke on it and he did. The tag on motor says it’s a 2014built in January but it looks like a 2013 but has a 2014 decals. It has 2.33 gears and it’s a 1.7 litre. If you look up the 14 models it says it’s a 2.1 with 2.07 gears. Is that the only differences and of course the cowl design. It pushes my boat great and I have no issues just wondering why it changed mid year and what else is different. Quote

Super User fishnkamp Posted May 28, 2018 Super User Posted May 28, 2018 He probably also got an engine he will not need to run as hard most of the time, and perhaps a better hole shot. I am a firm believer in setting a boat up with max HP. They usually run better that way. 1 Quote
Sam365 Posted May 29, 2018 Author Posted May 29, 2018 yep you right about that, I wish they would increase max hp I really believe it could handle 115. Quote
