But my wife , who has West Virginia and Virginia roots would say " all's " instead of " all " , and any woman she didn't like was a " wench ". But she never got any grief from me about it, you can be sure ! For fishing it has to be boaters than run over my lines when I'm pier fishing in saltwater. I don't do it much anymore for that very reason. They will run right over your lines less than 50 feet away and look surprised when they see me waving my arms and hear me yelling ( no, I don't flip them off ) Other than that, my biggest pet peeve is bad drivers. I don't want to hear a radio. I even had one friend pull out his phone and start streaming. He asked me what I wanted to hear. I said "What I was hearing before you started streaming music." Can't you ever just have silence? It's not uncomfortable with me. 1 Quote

Soflobassing Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 My pet peeves are the people who see me bed fishing and get mad that I’m taking the bass away from its fry, and they are clueless that they eat their own fry sometimes. 2 Quote

How about people that worship the bass as a sacred animal, but take home the limit of crappie every time they go. Why is a bass more valuable than a crappie? 3 Quote
BassNJake Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 For me it's the litter and the cigarette butts I have a ton of grocery/walmart bags stored in the boat and bring home at least 1 full of crap I've pulled from the lake every trip. The lake is not a garbage can or an ashtray. 5 Quote

He uses spinning reels only, and his line is ancient, dry, and comes off his reel in big coils. I've told him too many times now. This season its on him. When he hooks a good bass and his line breaks I'm not saying anything. Well, Might call him a cheapskate Haha, I'm the opposite. I can go through three reel spools of line in a month. ? 1 Quote
Super User Sam Posted May 30, 2018 Super User Posted May 30, 2018 I get so upset that I could put a snapping turtle down my pants and pull the belt tight. People who launch their boat at the ramp, tie it up to the pier and then load it for their trip. IT IS A RAMP TO LAUNCH AND TRAILER YOUR BOAT. NOT TO LOAD THE BOAT. 2 Quote

I used to be the azzwipe that actually called out 'apparently able-bodied' people parking in handicapped spots, I'm ashamed to admit. A few things have changed my perspective; one, when my father was in his later years, there were plenty of days when he looked perfectly well.....walked great....for a few yards, maybe, before pain and exhaustion would become nearly overwhelming. Another, was when I considered that when there are ample H spots, having someone who is entitled to use them, 'thoughtfully' avoiding them -- well, that person actually ends up taking a spot that I could have used; while empty ones near the entrance remain unused. 2 Quote

Oh, if there are a lot of spots, she'll use one. But if it seems there are only one or two, she usually won't. Me personally-I park in the "back 40" because I want to avoid door dings (another pet peeve of mine). Ironically, sometimes I will see restaurants/shops with SO many handicap spots lined up on both sides of the lot and half way down the block that I gotta wonder...isn't this a little excessive? Quote
Super User J Francho Posted May 31, 2018 Super User Posted May 31, 2018 I have one, it's legit, but most days I park in the back 40 too just because I'd rather find a "pull thru" spot for my pick up. It's a pain to park by the doors with all the foot/car traffic. 10 minutes ago, Choporoz said: I used to be the azzwipe that actually called out 'apparently able-bodied' people parking in handicapped spots, I'm ashamed to admit. I used to feel this way too. Until T1D and foot issue sort of started limiting the number of steps I have in me. It's a totally normal response. Sort of like seeing someone with an EBT card and an iPhone. You really don't know their circumstances, but it does illicit an emotional response. Quote
