I saw that the Carbonight casting rod comes in a 6'6" and 7' length,  lure weight 1/16-1/20z, medium light.

So with these specs, can this be considered a BFS rod?

I don't see why not. I use a 1/8-1 oz rod as a bfs rod.

I just discussed this same thing. I was looking for another bfs rod because the carbonlite just wasn't right. I ordered the major craft corzza and it is much better for my purposes. Mainly Ned rig. If you really want to try the carbonlite we can work something out I have the 6'6" ml. 2.0 it's been out on the water 3 times. The corzza was on sale for 145 shipped
