Used Rage Tails today for the first time. 6" Lizard and a Magnum bug. Quiet first hours I was just trying to get the touch/feel for these baits. Finally got the feel and took several hefty strikes but kept missing the set. Lost one lunker as I was reaching down to grab him.

I examined my T-Rig and decided to let more of the hook point stick out of the lure. I also took a little more time before setting the hook and BANG! Best day of the season for me so far!!!! Really had to finesse these and had an absolute blast learning Rage Tails...

I'm impatiently waiting for my first ever Tackle Warehouse order to arrive today. In the box will be some rage bugs and rage draws first time having them amongst many other things. I know I know I live under a rock. Better late than never. ?

Yup I ended my MTB subscription (not because it's bad, it was actually great) so I think now I'm going to go TW shopping once a month or so until boss lady says other wise.

Yeah MTB was good, I try to do that but I always have someone telling I don't need them.

That's awesome. The Rage Tails I used are from my first LTB shipment which arrived last night...

The Menace is a super versatile bait, one of my favorite all around plastics.

Help me out with this...

When I go to amazon and search, say, "spinnerbait" I'll get pages of baits, a great deal of which will be packs, which is great! I like 10 packs and 12 packs and 30 packs.

I cannot find those on TW. I just can't. When I search for "packs" or "kits" I get no hits. When I search "spinnerbait" I just get the singles.

What to do?

Thanks

TW tends to limit its selection to high-quality lures (and therefore more expensive), and targets customers who are enthusiasts with highly specific preferences. The enthusiast would usually prefer to choose a particular selection of lures given the cost rather than a kit or package that may have only 2 or 3 of what they're specifically looking for out of, say, six.

The packs you see on amazon and elsewhere are usually budget items of generally lower quality. For spinnerbaits, this may mean hooks that are not as sharp or dull quickly, wire that bends more easily, skirts that fall off more easily, paint that chips away easily, and blades that don't spin as well at slower speeds....none of which means they won't catch fish, or that you shouldn't stock up with a kit or two and try them. Just be aware that, as always, you'll tend to get what you pay for.

I get a lot of fish on the cut-r worm also, hopped or swimming it.

The cut-r worm is so underrated.....I fish it variously as a stick worm, a soft jerkbait, or a swimbait, sometimes all in the same retrieve.

I haven't used the bug much, but I love the regular rage craw...

...So you going to get out finally sometime soon and put those baits to use? ?

I haven't received the baits yet, it says by the end of the day. I haven't launched the boat yet. Was planning on it tonight but the wind is picking up here which spells bad news for my little tin. If it doesn't calm down we'll probably head to a friends house and go out on their pontoon with them fishing.

I have one brown bass to my name that's it so far. Work has taken up so much time this year.

VERY informative. Thanks much. This is a great site.

Now we're talkin!

Our mutual friend, the "Little Brother" was on fire Tuesday, but that may have been a last chance at prespawn there.

Pre spawn you say?

How big did you get?

No state record I'm guessing?

Sadly, no state record. The biggest was only about 3 and half, but there were a lot around that size and some pretty fat. It was not a parade of fry guarders.

Love the rage baits! T-rigged or use them as trailers on jigs as well

Bass are silly. I get far, far fewer bites on a worm dragging it. Hopping or even swimming them is the deal. And why? Worms don't do that lol. Whatever works, and hopping works
