Super User Angry John Posted June 1, 2018 Super User Posted June 1, 2018 I have had some success dragging a 3.8 keitech. Swim when moved very slow and think it's a great way to get that bait deep. Quote
Super User TOXIC Posted June 1, 2018 Super User Posted June 1, 2018 Grub. Choose the color to match the hatch. 2 1 Quote
thinkingredneck Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 U vibe worm in white, spinner bait willow leaves, white. Underpin w swimbait. If they are really keyed in they won't bite an artificial for me. Quote
Super User WRB Posted June 1, 2018 Super User Posted June 1, 2018 C-rig means you are dragging the bottom while the bass are feeding near the surface on Threadfin Shad. If the Shad are deep or injured near the bottom then a GYCB 4" smoke w/black & silver (Natural Shad) Hula grub rigged on a 3/0 off set light wire hook works good. Fly lining a Basstrix Shad Bait Fry with a nickle 1/0 hook on spinning tackle and 6 lb line works good on a slow falling presentation. Tom Quote
NittyGrittyBoy Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 Okay, so let me be the guy to ask, what's wrong with using a fluke? Quote
Super User the reel ess Posted June 1, 2018 Super User Posted June 1, 2018 I watched an episode of BD where he used a jointed Rebel minnow hardbait on a C Rig. He just reeled so slowly that the bait floated up a little. This seems like a good way to target some big gals. That's a big bait. The original swimbait, perhaps. I went through my late father's tackle a while back and he had a Lindy C Rig kit. It seems this kind of sinker would do best at not getting snagged. You don't want to be throwing away Rebel plugs all day. Quote
