Any one fishing one of the new LTB Spinning rods, and if so how do you like the new reel seat?  I didn't like the old design, but the new design has me ready to try one out.  Anyone use one yet?  Thinking about the LBS610MLXF and pairing it with a tatula lt ss, for some drop shot/ neko fishing.  Any feedback appreciated.

If it's the same as the ones on the green legends, I really don't like it. I hacked it all off my new green legend med light and put a handle I find more comfortable on. I am a bit obsessive about spinning rods though, casting I don't mind any of the available reel seats.

Yes, that's the same reel seat. I find them too slim and they make my hand ache after a while, which is why I prefer the aero style seat. I am odd though, everyone else seems to like very minimal reel seats. ?

Tim, I applaud you for taking a Dremel to a ~$400 rod! I didn't care for that split Fuji handle the old LTB used. I've handled, but not fished, the updated reel seat- it seemed comfortable in the store. But I totally understand- 5 minutes isn't a day on the water. :)

New handle looks good too.

It is a more comfortable seat than the previous one and I almost went with an LTB until I saw that the new LTW had full cork and the reel locking screw in FRONT of the reel. Much more comfortable if there's a power/action rod available to your liking. That's the route I went and don't regret it one bit.

Actually I think the LTB is uplocking still, so there's nowhere for the heel of your hand to be, other than hanging off the angled bit of cork on the locking ring.
