keltonz Posted May 22, 2018 Posted May 22, 2018 BR - anyone use the Twistlock Light for Senkos? They definitely prolong the life of the bait, but I haven't figured out what size to use. I normally use a 3/0 for senkos, but in this variety they seem too short. 4/0 or 5/0 better? Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted May 22, 2018 Posted May 22, 2018 IMO its the best hook for a senko. I ise a 4/0 for the 5" senko 1 Quote
contium Posted May 22, 2018 Posted May 22, 2018 I use it for weightless Texas rig. 4/0 for 5" Senko's, 3/0 for 4" 1 Quote
optimator Posted May 23, 2018 Posted May 23, 2018 I need to try these. I used to be a huge fan of the Mr Twister keeper hooks. These are really similar. Does the screw end pull free of the bait on the hookset? Quote

I use senkos a lot in little ponds with slime bottom when my brain rebles against pulling slime off of my lure every cast. With the hook head buried a senko is maybe the most slime resistant lures out there. Quote
Comfortably Numb Posted May 23, 2018 Posted May 23, 2018 5" Senko and 4/0 Twistlock (make your own really cheap). 5/0 for a lil faster sink. Quote
