Anyone here have this reel?

This reel has performed pretty great for me for going on 3 seasons. All of a sudden it’s like braking doesn’t exist. You can tighten cast control cap 100% and brake to 20 and it will still free spool lightening fast. Talked to DVT, I checked all the usual culprits. Just want to see if anyone has one and can remove their CC cap and tell me what’s there. Cross checked the schematics with a regular USDM Zillion TW and both show similar parts... idk I’m really puzzled atm

Did the spring plate in the cast control cap come out?

Not sure what that is. Here’s the schematic

The only other issue I have seen is part 59 pops out of the cap and the cap is pinching the spring between the Cap and spring.  If this is not the case, change out part 60 or one of the side plates is loose.

Is the inductor cup stuck? If it can't extend out, it won't reach the magnetic field.

Seems fine and this model has 2 centrifugal brakes inside the lip of the spool both of those seem good too.

Check this out. Part#6 and look at the pdf above the parts list, it looks like what you're searching for.

IDK if this is any help.

Really do not believe "Part #6" is the problem.

If the Magforce system was operating correctly, the spool would behave. If the spool is centered, and you can turn the spool tension knob from "spool with side to side play" to "no side to side play", spool tension parts are not an issue.

It sounds like the magnets have slipped. I've had this happen. A quick check: cast the reel - confirm that the spool is still spinning fast at full mag setting. Next, set the mag control to minimum setting. You may find that the reel now acts like you are using a max setting. The mag control reverses phase if the magnets have shifted position.

You can also test this off the water watching free spool performance. Do a simple finger flick of the spool test at high and low mag settings. If what you see in free spool spin times are the reverse of what you should see - the magnets have slipped.
