jcrewguy Posted May 19, 2018 Posted May 19, 2018 Hello all. Just need some help figuring out which of the Cape ponds below require either a town or resident permit/sticker to park between Memorial day and Labor Day. I live over an hour away but looking to try some new waters so this would save me some time and energy. Either way, if you know if they DO or DON’T need it please message me. Thanks in advance! Nashua Nev Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 I am following , my wife and i will be there for a week come Sept. Parking seems to be the big thing. We will be there spending anniversary week ..... spending a few times in the canoe and a few grand on hotels and food Quote
Super User DogBone_384 Posted May 29, 2018 Super User Posted May 29, 2018 Hedges (Plymouth) - posted YES but haven’t seen it enforced in 2 years I’ve fished it. Seymour - YES. Sheep’s - YES. Jenkin’s - posted as private association access only. Buck’s - YES. Also, call local PD and ask when in doubt. They’ve always been helpful to me. Follow this thread: The local membership keeps it up to date. Best of luck! Quote

I was there earlier today and didn't see any signs regarding needing a resident sticker/permit to park there. Quote
je1946 Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 Ididn't think Sheeps had a parking restiction but it does limit hp on the motor. Called the epo on the cape, there is a way into Jenkins (They have to have it by law) but it's over grown and narrow, parking would be the problem. Quote
Super User DogBone_384 Posted May 30, 2018 Super User Posted May 30, 2018 I might be wrong about Sheeps. I’d love to find a way into Jenkins. I reconned it this Spring but couldn’t find a way in: sounds like we have to dig deeper. I won’t fish the Cape until after Labor Day. With gas prices and side-work up, it’s best I stay local. My two local ponds are Ponkapog and Wampatuck State Park. Plymouth is as south as I’ll go, and one or two trips to the Quabbin will be my big trips. Quote
jcrewguy Posted May 30, 2018 Author Posted May 30, 2018 I hear ya! I'd love to stay more local but last year I got a taste of smallie fishing and now I'm addicted to it. I'm in Central MA so there really aren't many quality smallmouth fisheries around here. I work 50+ hours a week in the medical field so on my one day off I want to hit up places that I know will or have produced well in the past. Quote
