Hello fellas, wanted to find out if there are any changes to the 2019 model year ranger RT series (178/188)

currently not any in my immediate area and am thinking about ordering a 19 as production starts June 1st.

if there were not any significant changes I'll just drive to pick up a 18 that is at a dealer 200 miles away.

I went and looked at 1 that was in my area but sold a few hours before I got there.

if anyone has any info (insider?) on the 19's, I'd appreciate the info.  not sure what the changes would be but maybe would sway me to wait.

thanks

The big change from 2017 to 2018 is you can now get the coinbox on the 188 that comes on the 198. You don't "lose" storage but instead of the middle + passenger folding up, you can only access the under seat storage from either the driver or passenger seat. Probably won't see any of the 2019 RT188 changes until the Ranger show later in the fall.

thanks for the info. guess i will just wait and see.  I was close to getting one with a 75hp but I figure  most lakes around here are real small so I'll go with a lighter set up.  I'll need to wait and order a 19.

I went ahead and ordered a RT178.  it will be designated with a 2019 serial number without the 2019 updates.  8 weeks delivery I was told.  no worries,  it will be worth the wait.
