Graham Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 I typically have one box that I bring with me with my daily assortment of baits. Each trip I prep a box based on what styles I plan on using. Here’s what I’ve got for today. What are you guys throwing in that day box? 2 Quote

Graham Posted May 13, 2018 Author Posted May 13, 2018 @Team9nine Haha I love it. Fishing can be as complicated as we want it to be! I dig the shape of that green pumpkin worm up top, what is that? Quote

You also brought up a good point, that’s my box and not actually what’s tied on. Since I’m usually in a kayak I only bring 3-4 outfits but what’s tied on now is a swimbait, a finesse jig, a wacky rig, and a lipless crank. Quote

I’ve been throwing that exact same black and blue Chatterbait w/ black and blue Menance Grub all year with no luck. That chartreuse black back Squarebill and sexy shad RES are money! 1 Quote
Graham Posted May 13, 2018 Author Posted May 13, 2018 @Dorado Yeah when the bladed jig bite is on in some of my lakes and ponds there is no beating it. I haven’t gotten them to go for it this spring yet. No kidding about the sexy shad pattern and the chart black back, absolute staples. Most of my fish this spring have come on jigs, worms, and lipless cranks. Not sure if it’s just me but it seems like they eat a chatterbait better in the late summer/fall. 1 Quote

thinkingredneck Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 I have two small boxes for the kayak. One reliable and one that I valley "experimental". The reliable one has Trick worms in Candy bug and junebug. White spinner baits, black and blue Arkie jigs w matching trailer, horny toads, lizards, a couple square bills, jitterbugs, and a couple Johnson spoons. My experimental box has some topwater salad spoons, grubs, and swimbaits. Will post photos. I also have some new rage tail stuff from last year. I sometimes fly fish the pads. 1 Quote
