NathanDLTH Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 Last winter purchased a Daiwa Steez A in 7:1:1 and read somewhere you can switch the spool out for a SV spool? Anyone know if that’s true? If so, what spool would work? Quote
Super User Tywithay Posted May 9, 2018 Super User Posted May 9, 2018 It is true. You can get the SLP G1 1012 or 1016 SV spool, RCS 1000 SV deep or shallow, SLP RCS 1012 SV, SLP SV 105, or the SLP SV 103. Just depends on what you're looking for and how much you want to spend. 1 Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted May 9, 2018 Super User Posted May 9, 2018 I put the RCS Steez SV G1 1016 spool in my Steez A. Really good upgrade for the reel. Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted May 9, 2018 Super User Posted May 9, 2018 It will accept any 34mm Daiwa spool. There are way too many to list. The best bang for your buck sv spool upgrade is the zillion 1016 sv tw from The Tackle Trap. 1 Quote
NathanDLTH Posted May 10, 2018 Author Posted May 10, 2018 Thanks guys, I think the Steez might pull double duty because of being able to change spools. Am I crazy for wanting to throw an ounce bait on it with the standard spool? Quote
