Nickajack....oh my!!

Well ... the club had a tourney at Nickajack yesterday and I must say it was a very long day.  Got up at two as wasn't sleeping well.  So with three hours of sleep me and my partner hit the road.  Really an interesting lake....have never been before and there are a lot of hazards to this big pond so was very cautious.  My partner had gone down the previous week and had a bank he said some fish were on and they were still there...even though most were spots.  I started really slow but finally put some spots in the live-well for a limit.  Has been a long time for me to catch that many of these little short biters.  Went to a ned rig and finally got better commitment.  Was a good tourney as the club is getting ready for the state tourney this week.  Our first place had 15 and change so I can see adjustments need to be made...(ya think) anyway.  I had eight and change.   Looking forward to spending the week down there and crossing fingers everything goes well.  Going to prefish Tues and Wed try to learn.  Did end up tied for third which was not bad but didn't get home till after eight....road construction....ugh.
