Hook2Jaw Posted May 1, 2018 Posted May 1, 2018 I'm about to start fishing Lake Sinclair from my kayak. Considering it's a kayak and I only have a range in the area of 10 miles, does anyone have any general areas for this lake? I've been a river and pond fisherman my whole life with limited experience in Blackshear, so any tips for this particular body and a good launch location that would get me on some fish would be much appreciated! flatcreek Posted May 1, 2018 Posted May 1, 2018 Little Hudson Park ramp on Sparta highway is good fishing water and not crowded with boat traffic. Not far from the Oconee Dam. 1 Quote
Hook2Jaw Posted May 2, 2018 Author Posted May 2, 2018 Thanks, @flatcreek. I'm not looking to drive that far up North as the southern side near the dam is only about an hour away. What baits would you recommend for this lake for this time of year? Do you know anything about the south side, particularly this area? Quote
flatcreek Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 You can put in at Bass Marina down around the Sinclair dam and fish in there and Rocky Creek is good fishing.Buzzbaits early morning ,flukes, worms, lizards and jigs are good around that area now.up in the day throw a swim jig that mimics a bream around grass Quote
Hook2Jaw Posted May 7, 2018 Author Posted May 7, 2018 Thanks again, Flat. Is Rocky creek that giant cut that runs north from Bass Marina? Quote
AllTerrainAngler Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Put in at 129 and follow it north up murder creek to the shoals. Nobody ever ventures up there and the fishing is amazing 1 Quote
Terry_ Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 Thanks for the tips gentlemen! I got my first tournament on Sinclair this weekend. Should be perfect weather for June if the storms hold off until after weigh in. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in the club bringing in some heavy bags! Quote
