BeenJammin Posted May 1, 2018 Posted May 1, 2018 I caught this little guy while catching bluegill the other day. Any idea what it is? I thought it was a creek chub but I don’t think so now Quote
BeenJammin Posted May 1, 2018 Author Posted May 1, 2018 Just looked up a golden shiner and that’s definitely it. Thank you! Quote
Super User soflabasser Posted May 1, 2018 Super User Posted May 1, 2018 The species you are holding in your hand is a golden shiner. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted May 2, 2018 Global Moderator Posted May 2, 2018 Big bass candy bar, aka golden shiner. Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted May 2, 2018 Global Moderator Posted May 2, 2018 I may have caught one of those in a cast net one time, I remember three of us saying we had never seen the species on the TN river and unused it for bait. Can’t remember if I caught anything with it but that was the only time I remember seeing one except when I was in Florida. This was in chickamauga lake, not sure if they live there in numbers or not Quote
