SE Florida Bass & Snakehead Fishing

Anyone have any areas you can recommend to me for snakeheads or largemouth? I've heard there's snakeheads in Parkland and Tamarac. The only place I have caught one before is a spillway which hasn't been productive for me the last couple of trips there. Completely landbased aswell. Also, any big bass areas to visit? Every place I've caught a decent (4lbs and up) largemouth or peacock has been in some community lake that I can get in trouble for trespassing in.

There are plenty of public areas you can fish bullseye snakehead in Western Broward. Use Google maps to find the areas, go scout them in person, and eventually you will have lots of good places to fish. They like hollow belly frogs and other frog imitating baits. They bite at night as well, so don't be afraid to fish at night for them.

We use to catch a ton of snakeheads in our 12 ft Jon boat in Coral springs fishing the canals parallel to saw express way ,we put in at sample road ,Atlantic Blvd behind the church ,end of royal palm near aquatic complex Coral springs drive and sawgrass,Coral ridge drive and sawgrass, plus there was some nice bass in those spots,get those $1 Walmart spinner baits for snake heads cause they will do some damage to your good lures pm me if u want more info

The snakehead are spawning now and will continue to spawn for a couple months so now is a good time to get one over +8 pounds. The small ones are fun to catch but they just don't compare to how a big snakehead hits a frog and runs.

I have found bullseye snakeheads in nearly every waterway I have fished around Deerfield Beach.  Look for very still water and they will be there.  You should load up with braid because they will cut Mono nearly every time unless you get very lucky.  Do not throw any lures you are emotionally attached too, these fish are wrecking balls for artificials.

I went out to Sandalfoot Cove in west boca last weekend and saw a few really nice snakes. They were paired up and weren't spooking easily. Very easy to walk for miles.
