EGbassing Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 I've been bass fishing for a few years now, but never fished in a tournament, never joined a fishing club, etc. I really want to do something like that this summer, but I just don't know how to find tournaments, bass clubs, etc. I don't have a drivers license or a boat yet so that makes it difficult... Any advice on finding tournaments to fish? Or would something else be a better choice for starting? Quote
CroakHunter Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 There is a whole forum here labeled bass clubs. They have lots of lists of different clubs for every state. Being a non-boater would raise your skill level tremendously. Would highly recommend 3 Quote

SDoolittle Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 Get ahold of one of these people:https://albassnation.org/alabama-bass-nation-directors-contacts. They should be able to put you in contact with a local club. On 4/28/2018 at 7:27 PM, CroakHunter said: Being a non-boater would raise your skill level tremendously. Jesse Yeomans Posted May 1, 2018 Posted May 1, 2018 I've been fishing my whole life but got into more bass fishing techniques a couple years ago. I joined a club and have my first tournament in a couple weeks as a non-boater. I plan on doing that, then becoming a boater next year because I do have a boat, but want to gain some experience with the guys that have been fishing those waters forever before going on my own. I would highly recommend doing the same thing. Definitely check the above link for local clubs in your area and go from there 1 Quote
Super User Sam Posted May 1, 2018 Super User Posted May 1, 2018 There is an age limit to join bass clubs, usually it is 16 years old. Good luck and let us know if you join a bass club. 1 Quote
