NittyGrittyBoy Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Anybody following the elite Series on Grand lake right now? Any thoughts Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted April 28, 2018 Super User Posted April 28, 2018 I am (always do) Pre-spawn is full on and the bigger fish are showing up shallow. Dirty water is helping IMO. Tomorrow morning could see some Huge Bags ! A-Jay Quote
NittyGrittyBoy Posted April 28, 2018 Author Posted April 28, 2018 Been watching updates past couple days, aerial photos show the banks stained bad. Was hoping Tak would stay up front! Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted April 28, 2018 Super User Posted April 28, 2018 There were quite a few WILD position changes on the Day 2 leader board. Several Guys dropped from way up to way down and vise versa . . . #didntseethatcoming A-Jay Quote
NittyGrittyBoy Posted April 28, 2018 Author Posted April 28, 2018 KVD showed up to fish, consistent both days. Think he's got what it takes for another win? 1 Quote
Tim Kelly Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Be fascinating to watch today's action. KVD and Cliff Crochet were pretty consistent, the Lester and Wheeler had a good day. Be interesting to see whether they've worked something out, or just got lucky and whether KVD and Crochet really have something more consistent going on. Quote
NittyGrittyBoy Posted April 28, 2018 Author Posted April 28, 2018 I agree, I think today will really show who has a pattern, and who gets the lucky bites. I definitely like watching the pro's really work and struggle to find the bass, let's me know they are human haha Quote
NittyGrittyBoy Posted April 28, 2018 Author Posted April 28, 2018 KVD must have a pattern, he's dominating Quote
Tim Kelly Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 You'd think he should win this, but it just takes someone to have a great day and they could still win it. Got to think he deserves it though, the only guy to post consistent big bags every day. Gotta love a bit of KVD action when he gets on them. It was weird watching him in the classic. He clearly thought he had a great pattern going in practise, but it just didn't happen in the tournament. Must be so frustrating. This time it's worked out for him though. Quote
NittyGrittyBoy Posted April 29, 2018 Author Posted April 29, 2018 Hawk and Tharpe both brought big bags yesterday, if they can do it again it might be enough to squeak by KVD. This one has been fun to watch! Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted April 29, 2018 Super User Posted April 29, 2018 KVD notches his 25th Elite Series Win ~ (Building on his record - again) 83-4 - Just stupid ! Congrats A-Jay 3 Quote
Super User Catt Posted April 29, 2018 Super User Posted April 29, 2018 And he aint done yet! ? 2 Quote
NittyGrittyBoy Posted April 29, 2018 Author Posted April 29, 2018 Yep, congrats to KVD. Great fishing in tough conditions. Man can flat out fish! 1 Quote

Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted May 3, 2018 Global Moderator Posted May 3, 2018 I read there's a 250 boat tourney on Kentucky lake for 2 of the 4 days of the Elite tournament. That might make things interesting/tough. On 4/29/2018 at 7:41 PM, NittyGrittyBoy said: Man can flat out fish! Of course he can....he's a Michigan boy! 1 Quote
NittyGrittyBoy Posted May 3, 2018 Author Posted May 3, 2018 Holy cow! 250 boats! Bet that will be frustrating, plus with all the spectators that will be out their watching, should be crowded to say the least. I'm still rooting for my long time favorite, Shaw Grigsby! But KVD has won Kentucky lake, what twice? And he's got confidence built up from Grand lake so we'll see! Quote
NittyGrittyBoy Posted May 4, 2018 Author Posted May 4, 2018 No takers? I figured more people followed the elite Series. O well I enjoy it Quote
NittyGrittyBoy Posted May 5, 2018 Author Posted May 5, 2018 Day 2 @ Kentucky lake, Shaw Grigsby is making a show! 7.11 Big bass! Skeet Reese has rose to the top Quote
