My problem is not storing them at home as I have plenty of Plano boxes.

Its how to quickly store them in a tackle bag when changing lures. I have found a useful life hack. IceBreakers gum comes in a plastic container that is perfect for storing 1 crankbait. After cutting the crank off my line I pop it one the gum container until I get it back home.

We go through alot of peanut butter at my house. So, I use the empty pb jars for my crankbaits. Put rubber bands around the hooks so they stay separated and just cram them in there.  Each jar will hold 8-12 baits depending on the size. Have one full of sq bills, one medium divers, etc. They fit nicely in my tackle bag. Works great for me.

I organize by type of bait like lipless crankbait, shallow running, jerkbait, etc. I don’t worry about the size of the bait.

I have three separate boxes one for traditional cranks, one for lipless, and one for squarebills. I usually put them in rows based on color.

By colors  by size.

I don’t use boxes with dividers. Take a one compartment Plano or other brand, tie rubber bands around the hooks, put them in the box by type and diving depth.

I think I got it figured out I organized by size and color. It filled up 4 3700 boxes but also saved me space from 8 3600 and a 3700 box full.

I have 2 boxes for stuff I'm actually bringing on my boat (kayak) to fish.

All other cranks are in various planos and labelled for their weight and depth.  I have three planos completely full for this purpose and I carry, if you include lipless, about 15 cranks per trip.

My boxes for non boat use are basically an even split between 1) shallow cranks 2) deeper (8 ft +) 3) lipless

I just counted and I bring on the boat 8 shallow cranks: rock crawler, bomber a, ima x 2, megabass scrank, Big O x 3. Then: 5 lipless ( four cordell spots, 1 r2s ruckus, 1 ima suspending) and 3 deeper divers: ima beast hunter, 3xd and a cordell wally diver.

I buy the dark gray and orange H2O xpress boxes from academy.  They're $20, but they last a lot longer

I sort mine by running depth, so I have three main boxes; Shallow, Medium and Deep. Then I have a box for silent models and another for lipless and another for suspending and I'm thinking of adding another for favorites to take when I'm not in my boat.

I'm similar but I don't have as many in my inventory

1 box of mixed DT and Squarebill

1 box of lipless

2 boxes of regular cranks, sorted by depth - up to 10' max/over 10' max

As I accumulate more crankbaits I am trying to find an easy way to store and organize them. Like most I use Plano 3600 and 3700 boxes (actually I switched to Lure Lock but same sizes). I only own shallow water down to 8' since I don't fish deep waters very often. How do you organize? I have 1.5, 2.5, squarebill, roundbill, circuit board, silent, rattle, and flatsided. I just keep getting overwhelmed trying to figure out what should go where.

By color, by rattle, and then by size.

I have a speical tackle box when fishing that will hold the crankbaits, and other baits, that I plan to throw during the day backed up by the baits I have selected to put on the boat in case I need a different color, noise, or size.

In trays by type EG: Shallow Diver, Mid, Deep, Balsa, etc. Normans with other Normans, SK's with other SK's, etc. Similar colors together too. Shad with Shad, Craw with Craw, etc.
