Hello, I'll be moving to Arizona shortly and was wondering how the fishing is around Tucson? I have primarily fished largemouth and the little bit of research I found said that patagonia state park is a great place to fish and is known for black bass.. the second part of my question is.. are black bass and large mouth the same thing? Thanks in advance.

Hello Jason, congratulations on your move to Tucson. I can’t answer your first question, but the answer to your second question is “yes”, largemouth bass and all fresh water bass of North America members of the black bass family.

Thanks for the answer. I would imaging you fish them the same as largemouth than which makes it a little easier.

Anytime, and you are correct, largemouth, smallmouth, spotted, etc are all black bass
