This may seen like a really weird question, but...

I am going to be away from home many weeks at a time. This may mean I won't be styling my hair everyday. I also wear hats a lot and want to know what hairstyle is best for being maintenance free but still looking good. Buzzcuts don work because i have odd and will trim my hair everyday, and will never be able to grow it to short/medium length again.

im thinking of something slicked back...

Go bald...low maintenance and reduces drag when you need a few extra seconds on the water. :P

Well, at 60, I don't have too many issues with hair! I wear caps a lot too. When I was younger it made a difference. Now, I don't worry about it. I get a haircut once a month and am good to go

If I get out of the shower and have to do anything other than dry it with a towel I know it's time for a haircut.

I've lived with a hair stylist for 25 of my 27 years on this earth. If you get a quality haircut from a good stylist, you can get a short maintenance free haircut that looks good in and out of a hat. I'm darn near bald and my wife can make it look like I have as much hair as I did 5 years ago

Can't help you much with hair issues ! I have less and less experience with that everyday ! About the only time I don't wear a hat is at church. If I don't, I get a sunburnt head.

One of my son's nicknames for me for awhile was " Balto " if that tells you anything.

My wife gives me a buzz cut about once a month.  I started doing this when we lived in the Bahamas.  Lots cheaper to buy good clippers (I bought a $60 Wahl clipper) than it is to pay someone $15 or more for no better cut.  Cut short there is little maintenance, no worry about styling, just dry with a towel, not much issue with "hat hair", and it's cool in the summer.

I've never been all that worried about my hair.  It has a mind of its own - I've never been able to keep it looking good when it was longer anyway, so I'm better off going with minimal upkeep.

Well you could learn to live with hat hair which doesn't show as much with short hair or slick it back & have greasy hat hair. Like Graham said the fish don't care.

This is why you don’t drink and post on Internet forums ladies and gentlemen...

I have been shaving my head for about.....15-18 years now?  I can't stand it when it gets more then about an 1/8" of fuzz on top.  I have gotten to the point where hats feel weird unless my head is freshly shaved.

I need to get your wife cutting my hair! Of course I’d have to grow it out for 5 years to do a proper comb over

For largemouth I usually wear my hair in a pompadour but when fishing for smallmouth I like to wear a more of a bad ass James Dean style. That’s how I roll.
