Fuego CT

I was recently on the market for a new casting reel that was good quality but didn’t break the bank. So on the recommendations and reviews I read on here I went with the Daiwa fuego ct. Yesterday I took it out for the first time and I was highly impressed by it. It cast great, has a smooth retrieve, and has a solid quality feel to it. I was also impressed with the magforce z braking system as it’s the first time I’ve ever used that particular system. I was more impressed by the fuego than I was with my Revo s that I purchased last season and the Revo actually retailed for more money. So if there is anybody out there that is looking for a quality baitcaster that wont set you back a lot of money I highly recommend the fuego.

I'll second this all day long. I'd rather have 2 Fuegos than one Tatula.

Thanks for the review. I bought one on sale at Cabela's for $70, but still haven't had a chance to try it out. It feels like a solid reel, especially for the price.

I ordered one last night for $49.99 on ebay. Figure it's worth a try at that price.

I love all the Daiwas with that break system, but you must adjust it correctly.  I fish a bunch of Tatula and Tatula CT reels, as well as the predecessor to the Fuego. It was called a Daiwa Exceler and it performs great as well. They made the change because they wanted to use the smaller CT body in order to standardize the lineups.

I am not sure why some hate the TWS system, but it has always been good for me. Since there are anglers that do not like the TWS they still offer basically the same reel without the TWS. 

 

 

I fish the Chesapeake Bay tidal rivers so my reels have to stand up to not only bass but stripers, big blue cats, snakeheads and even the occasional bluefish. None have let me down.

Thanks for the review. Just ordered the Daiwa Fuego ct xsl 8:1 and some 30lb braid. Can't wait to try it out.

Lol seems to be the thing to do. After my tatula SV changed my opinion on daiwa forever, I ordered a fuego ct in 8:1 also ? I'm going to use mine for flipping jigs and t-rigs and small swimbaits.

 

At this rate I might just have to replace my beloved casitas with a daiwa too.
