Silent or rattling square bill crankbaits?

I want to pick up a new square bill crank bait. I'm looking at the KVD 2.5 model. Looks like they come in the silent or rattling variety. Which do you prefer?

I like specific ones.  If visibility sucks then a chartreuse black back with rattle is money.  The kvd bluegill I like silent.  A shad or black white can go either way or both.  If I want natural the clear or natural colors are silent.

 Rattle or no rattle ~ There are some situations where one may be a bit better than the other.

I've had success with both in the same situations on more than a few occasions.

Thanks A-Jay - I seem to have this d**n monkey hanging around my house now. 

 

I have been looking at the 6th Sense baits for a while.  Some of the reviews on TW and other sites have noted issues with the bills breaking. What have your experiences been. 

 

Have you you tried the movement 80x?  The underwater videos on these show a very unique action - any thought on these?

No issues for me unless you don't like having bass choking the bait all the time.

I like the silent ones. I feel like rattles are redundant on a square bill considering you are bouncing them off everything in the water as it is. But as always, preference.

Silent for natural colors. Rattles for bright colors.

I like both, but I'd go rattling if I had to pick, mostly because a lot of the lakes I fish have a pretty good amount of stain to them. 

 

I agree with A-jay on the 6th Sense baits. I have broke the bill on a 75X banging it through the rocks, but I have several more that have performed as they should. Broken bills are something I've just come to accept when cranking rocks often.

I use the same reasoning but for some reason copper perch works in any water clarity.
