Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted May 25, 2018 Global Moderator Posted May 25, 2018 Warriors look like deer in headlights in the last 2 4th quarters. And James harden has missed 20 straight 3s! Warriors need iguadala but rockets need CP3 1 Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted May 26, 2018 Author Super User Posted May 26, 2018 I hope the rockets put the series away tonight and cleveland does tomorrow. Quote

I think the Dubs will put it together and force a game seven. If they can’t beat Houston tonight, they don’t deserve to move on to the Finals. As for the Celtics and Cavs, in my opinion the Celtics have exceeded expectations this season and need to play a near perfect game to advance. At present, LeBron is playing arguably the best basketball of his career. Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted May 28, 2018 Super User Posted May 28, 2018 As a Cavs fan I'm hoping Houston wins tonight. Quote
Super User J._Bricker Posted May 29, 2018 Super User Posted May 29, 2018 The Dubs vs the Cavs Part IV. Once again the two best teams in the Association meet in the Finals and I’m definitely looking forward to this years edition. 2 Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted May 29, 2018 Super User Posted May 29, 2018 The two best teams have already played. This is like letting the NCAA champion play the NIT champion. 1 Quote

Super User flyfisher Posted May 31, 2018 Author Super User Posted May 31, 2018 This is nothing new fellas. And i don't think the Warriors sweep and the series will be closer than you anticipate. 1 Quote
Super User Senko lover Posted May 31, 2018 Super User Posted May 31, 2018 I got warriors in 5. I think they'll have at least one game, possibly two where Steph and Klay can't hit 3s and Lebron will duke it out with KD and drop 45 or something crazy. Looks like Kevin Love is on for tonight so I'm hoping for some close games. But I don't see the Cavs taking the dub this year. I have a lot of respect for Steph Curry and I can't help but have mad respect for what Lebron has continued to do year after year. But I hate that it's Cavs/Warriors again. Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted June 1, 2018 Super User Posted June 1, 2018 7.6 plus billion people on earth and JR Smith should feel like the number 1 biggest loser. How in the world are you a world class athlete and not know the score of the game? A benching would have sent a message and it's a move I for sure would have made. That was inexcusable. I expect my middle school players to know the score and time on the clock. Quote

And don’t give George Hill a pass. He’s 80% from the charity stripe and bricked that second free throw to allow JR’s heroics. Game 2 tomorrow 1700 PST.... Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted June 2, 2018 Author Super User Posted June 2, 2018 As soon as Hill went to the line you could see he was tight. He had the chance to do what every kid has done hundreds of times on the playground....hit the two free throws to win the game. The most egregious play was the change from an offensive foul to two shots a few plays prior. That play shouldn't have even been reviewed as it wasn't close to the restricted area. It was a call that should have stayed as called on the court. JR should have just put the shot back up at the very least and if it was a miss there would be next to no time on the clock and they still go to OT. Lebron is a beast though and I told my coworkers i wouldn't be surprised if Lebron averages 50 for the series.... Quote

I couldn’t agree with you more on your observations above @flyf1sher, however on the block involving Durant and James, Secaucus got it correct. Cavs fans can feel good that T. Thompson and Love won’t face suspension for the kerfuffle at the end of Game 1. I just hope Klay Thompson gets to suit up for Game 2 after JR had a 2016 Finals flashback and mistook Klay for Bogut. IMO, Game 1 was pretty well played definitely provided a lot of discussion fodder.... Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted June 3, 2018 Author Super User Posted June 3, 2018 If it was regular season there would be some suspensions for sure but this is the finals and nobody wants to see it decided because of a minor skirmish that was really nothing. I'll bet that the refs call it super tight at first in game 2 until they feel it all out. I would't be surprised one bit though if Green does something to agitate the cavs and it backfires. Quote

It will be very interesting to see what LeBron does. I can't imagine him going to a team in the West and having to battle GS and HOU. However, if he does, they may as well do away with the eastern conference. LeBron IS the eastern conference. Quote

Super User jbsoonerfan Posted July 2, 2018 Super User Posted July 2, 2018 Wow, will Kawhi join him? Possibly Clint Capela, Cousins or DeAndre Jordan. I still don't think Lonzo is the answer at PG, but I don't know who they could get. The east won't win a title for the next 5 years. There will be 3-4 teams in the west now that could win the east. Quote
ohboyitsrobby Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 I would think someone would go with him unless him going is a non-basketball related decision. I don't see the Lakers depleting themselves of assets a to get kawhi when he's made it obvious that's where he wants to be after next season but we shall see. Quote
Super User gim Posted July 3, 2018 Super User Posted July 3, 2018 Cleveland's odds to win the NBA Title went from 30-1 to 500-1 at the Westgate Sportsbook in Vegas today. The updated odds are: Golden State 7-2 LA Lakers 7-1 Houston 7-1 Quote
