Is it the Spartacus Maximus? If so that's their top of the line reel. It has a 25lbs. drag...should be able to pull a donkey out of the weeds with that :others-142:. Should be good for flippin' and pitchin', jerkbaits, crankbaits, jigs. If you get one make sure to give us a review after you've put er' through the paces!!!

I think it’s the KastKing Spartacus Plus but I will definitely do a review on it when I get it.

I have a Spartacus Plus (with the cork handle knobs), that I like pretty well. I use mine for finesse jigs.

I'm fairly new to baitcasters and did not want to spend a lot of money on one but wanted something with Duel brakes. Found the Assasin and love it. So much so that I bit the bullet and purchased the Whitemax and then the Royale Legend. As you can see I'm a big fan of Kastking reels.

May not be the top of the line but for the price they are outstanding!

I have the Plus and it is one of my favorites to throw (Speed Demon is my fav.). I just wish I fished FW more. The Spartacus Maximus is great for inshore redfish aka "channel bass." Only issue I have had is the small plastic cover on the thumb release came off after I dropped it. Still 10/10 functional.

I have never had my hands on a Spartacus specifically but I've had a few of their other reels apart, no surprises or wonky business going on in there. I own a stealth and fish it every day. They are decent enough.

The ONLY reason I don't own more is because for the money  (save for the royal legend) you can start getting into shimanos lower end main line stuff like the caius and caenan if you keep your eyes open for killer sales and eBay coupons.

I have the lefty S Plus. I use it for flipping, pitching, punching and jigs. I have braid on it. I have no issues with it. It is a solid reel. You have to play with it until you find the sweet spot. I took it out just to adjust it on the water using jigs. I can now throw everything with very little brake adjusting and only use the tension knob. Get use to the reel and you will not regret it.

Picked up the Plus from Amazon the other day. Spooled up with 50 # Braid. Feels like a solid reel for the $$. ($45). I haven't had a chance to fish with it yet, just a few casts around the back yard. Didn't take long to get it dialed in.  Need the weather to get a little warmer before i take it out on the water. Interested to see how it holds up for the season.

I have a speed demon and a assassin . I will say they are functional but don’t expect any surprise . My speed demon roller bearing is nothing has a plenty of room to going reverse and the drag click spring just silent after couple of weeks . The assassin one time I cast it out when I start retrieve it back the handle is like not in gear or somewhat I only got the handle free spin but not the spool. The finish of those 2 reel are not any close to major brand . But the gifts that came with is pretty good like the sunglasses and the mask lol.

My Kastking Arsenal includes all the baitcast reels except the Spatacus Maximus and the Royal Legend.

I had the regular Spartacus. It was the second caster I bought after being impressed with the Stealth. I loved it. I fished it hard and all the paint wore off on it (Kastking logo, Spartacus name and numbers on the outside magnetic brake) The only issue I had with it other than the paint was the thumb bar was sticky from time to time. My favorite part of it was that it was very forgiving of backlashes. That's a trait with almost all the Kastking baitcasters.

I would still be using mine but I dropped it while it was open for a cleaning. Pieces were everywhere and it wasn't the same after I attempted to put it back together. I upgraded to the Assassin as a replacement and it has become one of my favorite reels.

I've got a pretty decent selection of KastKing reels going.
