Moving Bait Rod

I have only recently gotten into bass fishing and I want to get a rod for Spinnerbaits, Vibrating jigs, Paddle Tail Swimbaits, and Lipless Crankbaits. The rod is mainly for Spinnerbaits, Vibrating jigs, and Paddle Tail Swimbaits. I have never fished with a lipless and would like to try. It would mainly be 3/8-1/2 oz. I was looking at a MH/MF. Specifically the St. Croix Mojo Bass Spinnerbait Rod, 6'9" Okuma TCS MH/MF, and the 7' Favorite Balance MH/MF. I am wondering what your guys opinion is? Whether I am looking in the right direction or if you guys have a better suggestion.

I use a St. Croix Bass X 7'4" Med/heavy mod-fast for all those techniques except lipless (although it would work well) and absolutely love it.  On paper it may not be as sensitive as the mojo bass, but it seems plenty sensitive to me.  Love the action on that rod.

Kistler makes a rod called Feel N Reel. After trying one, I bought 4 more of varying lengths and actions. My favorite is 7’2” medium heavy.  

 

They look different but are designed for baits with treble hooks. But, I use it for chatterbaits and swim jigs too.

 

With moving baits, the rod tip needs to give a little so the bass can inhale the bait. (Hence, guys use glass rods, which can be a little heavy.) But you need backbone to set the hook. And, the softer tip keeps the fish hooked up during the fight.

This is the next rod on my to-buy list. Glad to hear a glowing review of it. I want a dedicated chatterbait & spinnerbait rod.

I use a Daiwa Tatula 7'2" Glass cranking rod (MH/MF) that wouldn't be a bad option. I got my son a Mojo Bass spinnerbait rod, and the action is very similar on both rods and they're pretty good all around moving bait sticks. I really like the Tatula for these applications.

 

The other sort of rod I would recommend is a M/F rod which would do well for the baits you listed.

I have both the regular Feel N Reel and Kistler also makes a Feel N Reel S2 which is a hybrid rod with a fiberglass top section spliced into the bottom graphite section. I have the S2 in a 7'4 MH and a 7'6" H both are Moderate fast action. Excellent large crank bait rods for the DD22 size and up.

I use a 6'6" MHF for those techniques.

I use a G Loomis PR844C. I've updated a lot of my gear this year, but I wont replace this rod until it breaks.
