Snow!  Yes, snow in our Saturday forecast for central Virginia, the Midwest, the Ohio Valley, Kentucky and Tennessee and up north towards New England.

Not much. Only an inch or two for the greater Richmond, Virginia area. And it will be on the grass and trees, only. At least that is what they say. Who knows? Even the Shadow doesn't know. Even Dave the Weather guy doesn't know. I bet Glenn knows. But he isn't telling.

Enough is enough.  Cold weather has stifled the dogwood trees into holding off blooming and forcing the bass to wait longer to hit their beds. We need to tell that snow bunny to go away.

Launching early in the morning in 30* wet conditions is not safe or fun.

Running up and down the lake at 50 MPH in cold weather with rainy conditions is not fun.

Fishing in the rain is OK, but cold rain is not fun.

So I am going to stay home and watch college baseball and clean up my man cave once again. Hopefully for the last time. Hey guys, how many times can you reorganize your tackle???? :P

Snow, snow, go away. Come on back another day.  Like next year!!!!

Was 84 here today, and we need rain. They have dropped our lake 5’ since the start of March. Fish are still trying to figure out if they want to spawn. So I’d trade you 20 degrees for some of that wet weather right now!!!!

That's terrible. Can't believe its snowing in many northern states still. This has to be one of the coldest winters in many years for it to still be snowing in April. You all can keep that snow and having to wear a sweater for 9 months out of the year.

I'm just glad we're not having 'winters' like in the past.

In Minnesota, historically, only July has been snow-free - Northern Minnesota has seen snow as late as June 4 (1935) and as early as Aug 31 (1949)

The Colorado Rockies played their home opener Friday in light snow and mid 20's temps.  Several of the players looked more like they were bundled up for skiing instead of baseball.

Minnesota was created for people that hate summer. They only have two seasons. Winter and July

I remember some great summers growing up in Minnesota and Wisconsin (where I first learned to enjoy fishing for bass).  Good springs too.  I do remember being thoroughly bundled up for trick or treating on Halloween though, so fall was a bit dicey.

That said, if you live in Minnesota, you had best be ready to embrace winter.  I also lived for 9 years in Montana, and saw colder lows there (as low as -45°) than I ever experienced in Minnesota.

When did they get more than two seasons up there? Around here we have four seasons and the way our weather is going we could have all four in the same week.

We have four seasons

Winter

Mud

Road Construction

Leaf Dump

This is an unusual winter all around. Even the forecasters here are scratching their heads going Wait...WHAT?

Here in Colorado we can have all 4 seasons in one day any month of the year.  Just depends on where you are.  With the highest average elevation of any of the 50 states (6800 feet), you can literally drive your car from 3315 feet in Yuma County to over 14,000 feet on top of Mt. Evans in Clear Creek County in one day.

Our Annual Lake St Clair Toadalapalooza is scheduled for May 21-25th.  We need some serious warm weather up that way!!  "If" we hit it right, we can catch toad smallmouth in all phases....pre-spawn, bedding, and post spawn.  When we hit it right it's heaven on earth!!  Fisherman's crack!!

I can't imagine playing in temps like that...:)

I remember the Red Sox playing the Rockies in the World Series in '07 and the Rockies were waiting for the winner of the ALCS to finish up and they got a bit of snow during that week. They showed the players making snow angels on the field during practice...:D

I thought I heard the Twins got postponed yesterday (Sunday) because of snow and frigid temps?

Even this current run of warm weather isn't supposed to last beyond Saturday .  Last year I fished (and did well) several days in February.  This year...it looks like May is the  more likely scenario.  I need to get another hobby.
