Super User Cgolf Posted April 5, 2018 Super User Posted April 5, 2018 I have been getting the email from bassmaster for awhile to sign up for a Bass times. Does anyone get it and is it worth the buck an issue? Quote
Super User J Francho Posted April 5, 2018 Super User Posted April 5, 2018 Meh, BassResource.com is free. 5 Quote
Super User WRB Posted April 5, 2018 Super User Posted April 5, 2018 I look forward to getting both Bassmaster mag & Bass Times, always few articles worth reading. I am a charter life member since '69 and had no idea they charged an extra fee. Tom 1 Quote
Super User Cgolf Posted April 5, 2018 Author Super User Posted April 5, 2018 Cool I will try it for a year. I like having a stash of fishing magazines for long rides and when we travel without internet. Quote

SWVABass Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 If you fish competively at all, by joining your state B.A.S.S. NATION (old federation) I’m pretty sure B.A.S.S. times are part of that membership plus added benifits of being a nation member. Quote
BASS302 Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 @cgolf, I just started getting it. Be aware that it is approximately 10 1/2" x 13 3/4"! I received my first issue last month and I thought, what is that huge thing in my mailbox? Quote

J.Vincent Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 Sure it's worth a Dollar an issue , there is plenty of great information in the times. I think it just depends how hungry you are for angling information and what other subscriptions you already have. Quote
BASS302 Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 @cgolf, It's more like a newspaper than a magazine. The longest articles are about a page long. There's some fishing information, info about tournaments, and a bunch of small articles about various fishing related topics. And of course, there are a bunch of ads (I'm kind of weird, and I like reading fishing related ads ). I often find myself with only little bits of free time, so it's something to read during those times. Quote
KDW96 Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 I leave it in my truck to read at lunch. Ihad to call them to see why i got it. Ive gotton it from the start, and at the time it was because im also a life member since 79. Quote
Super User slonezp Posted April 6, 2018 Super User Posted April 6, 2018 If you believe you will get more enjoyment out of the magazine than a case of beer, buy the magazine. If not, enjoy your beer. Quote

If not, enjoy your beer. I like good bourbon and scotch so I would have to give up all of my subscriptions lol. Now just need to get it ordered. For subs I have BAM, In Fish, FLW, Bassmaster, and get Musky Hunter when I see a new one at a store. I enjoy reading magazines, BAM is the best, and has a ton of content, also takes a long time to get through. Really miss the old Bassin and Crappie mags. 1 Quote
frogflogger Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 BAM and InFisherman have more in depth info - I just gave away 20yrs of bassmaster and bass times - I read them all but I have learned more from InFisherman than all the rest put together. I also tossed my old Bassin' but all the mags went to a 13yr old and I feel they found a good home. My wife just told she reupped Bassmaster and BAM So it goes. Quote
DINK WHISPERER Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Considering I sometimes spend that just stopping at the store before work in the morning, I would say it's beyond worth it! 1 Quote
