Patrickcatalano Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Hello everyone, I purchased these hooks at a local fishing store and they were 75% off. They are gamakatsu 3/0 skip gap hooks, what would be a good use( other than skipping) for them? Tight lines Patrick Quote
Global Moderator Mike L Posted April 4, 2018 Global Moderator Posted April 4, 2018 I use the 4/0 almost exclusively for flukes and especially for all types of stick baits. Mike Quote
Super User Log Catcher Posted April 5, 2018 Super User Posted April 5, 2018 I have used the 2/0 for baby brush hogs and the 4/0 for stick worms. 3/0 should be good for 4 inch stick baits. Quote
papajoe222 Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 They're not really designed for skipping, but to keep your soft plastic from sliding down the shank of the hook. They can be used for most soft plastic presentations when matched to the bait and the 3/0 should work with all but the skinniest and bulkiest plastics. 1 Quote
