riverbasser Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Never heard or seen anything like that. I guess that's what you meant by the cool foot?, what's the benefit over a standard pedal? Quote

Tacklewarehouse sells the real coolfoot: http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Coolfoot_Minn_Kota/descpage-CFKOTA.html I just made my own. When you fish barefoot a lot they're nice. 1 Quote

I used to feel the same way, but once I tried it for a while I learned to love it. Now I don't even wear shoes in a boat when it's cold out, I just wear some wool socks. Quote

Shimano_1 Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Looks great! I made the tray for my dad's boat. One benefit of working in a fab shop! Cool foot looks great as well! Nice work 1 Quote
Super User WRB Posted April 8, 2018 Super User Posted April 8, 2018 Bare feet and hooks aren't a good combo. Looks cool! Tom 1 Quote

I've avoided hooks, but I did have my partner step on my bare foot once, and he was wearing boots and weighs over 200 lbs. I'd rather step on a treble than have that happen again. It ripped one of my little toenails right off. Quote

I have two bass boats and I wanted a cool foot in both of them, but the cheap skate in me wouldn't allow me to pay $60 for two cool foots. The mat was big enough for two easily, and I used some two sided tape to hold them in place. I wasn't sure that tape would hold up, but after a few trips it's still holding well. 1 Quote

I worry about that too. The interior of my boat is the polymer-vinyl-nonskid material so I generally do not leave anything laying around anyways plus my dog is often in the boat too. Shoes, sandals, boots, sure. Barefoot? Nope. 2 Quote
