Vision 110: Table Rock SP vs. (FX version) GP Pro Table Rock

Can anyone elaborate on these two colors and how they look compared to each other. How are they in slightly stained water? Thanks!

Most megabasses are at least slightly "see-through", except for the metallic colorschemes (they start with an M).

Second, they have a lot of slight variations of the same-ish paintscheme.

 

The G in GP is guanine (or something like that). Basically mimics the scales. The P indicates it's a phantom color. GP Pros are all (more) translucent.

 

The prefix in the colorscheme name (GG = guanine on a less translucent bait/ GP/ PM = pearl mica/ HT = half tone etc) indicate the finish on the bait.

Some of the colorschemes come with a suffix to indicate highlights or accents etc. OB = orange belly etc.

I'm not enthusiastic about the action of my Vision 110 FX lures.  I found they would Porpoise out of the water when worked quickly.  I find myself typically reaching for the traditional 110s and 110+ and leaving my FXs in the box

That's most unfortunate ~ 

 Seeing how you don't use them any more, if you'd like to send those 'defective' FX's my way, I'd be happy to recycle those for you.   I'd  even be willing to cover your shipping cost.

Table Rock SP is a solid color with chartreuse sides.  It's a fairly bright color but, good for stained water, cloudy days, or when you want loud colors for targeting smallies/spots.  I personally use it most often when targeting smallies.

 

GP Pro Table Rock is a ghost/translucent color and even though the sides are chartreuse-ish, they are see thru so it's not very flashy/loud.  It's good in a variety of conditions from clear to stained water, I like to use it in lakes without shad to imitate perch, shiners, bluegill, etc...

Thank you!  This is what I was looking for!  Now I have to wonder if I should order more 110s or get some Ito Shiners!

If you don't have an Ito Shiner, I highly suggest getting one. I personally like them better than the Vision 110

I have a couple of these and the problem I am having is the front treble hooks on the line far more often than any other jerkbait.  TBH I don't notice a huge uptick in casting ability with this version over the original but the action is great.   

 

Has anyone else had the front treble hangup more often than others?  I have had this occur with the stock hook and replacements.

 

I am using a 10# fluoro leader more often than not.
