Hey all, I'll be picking up a 1648 Aura M this weekend and had a few questions as I excitedly look at how to set it up.

What is the most simple way to mount a bow mount trolling motor on this type of bow? See picture.

What are some items that NEED to go in the boat? Fire extignuisher, life jackets, anchors (two anchors?) Anyone have a preferred anchor type/weight for this type of boat? Mostly smaller lakes, up to 600 acres.

Is there any "new boat checklist" that you run through when first bringing a boat home.  I'm a total newbie to all this so any info is appreciated.

The answer to mounting a front trolling motor to this boat is to have a metal fabricator bend you a box to mount on that first front raised deck area.  If you look at this picture, it is an Alumacraft bassboat( it is actually a "crappie Jon" model).  You can see the box they built.
