Went out this morning to Loxahatchee Federal Preserve off of Lox road.Fishing the North canal  first thing I noticed was water is getting really low and water had a light stain to it,so I started the day off throwing frog had a few blow ups but nothing stuck.Switched over to gambler big eze got a handful off of that.Than went to Senko got a ton of small ones off of that,so I figured the bigger ones were either deeper or pressed against the bank tried a Texas rigged worm and rage craw got some small ones on those baits.Saw alot of Gators,Oscars,gar and mudfish couldn't not figure out where the bigger ones were that's what it's been lately out there a ton of small ones.A few weeks ago the bigger ones were all over the place.Good day on water better than working be back at it next weekend.Tight lines!!

Thank you for posting your report. Lots of people been having +50 fish days and even +100 fish days in the glades for the past couple weeks now. The water is very low at this moment in the Everglades and I might go out there for another +100 fish day if the water keeps dropping like it has.

Yea it's been wild last month or so I was getting really good size fish consistently,but the last couple of trips out to lox in the last week alot of small fish couldn't find any weight maybe they just moved ?

I agree there's tons of 1-4 pound bass biting in the Everglades right now, as well as bowfin, gar,sunfish, exotic fish,etc. These little fish are biting before the big bass are, but that's ok with me since I go to the Everglades for numbers of fish, not necessary for big bass( I go to other locations for that). You can try fishing with larger than normal swimbaits, that might get you a big bite or at least lower the amount of small fish that get hooked. Make sure to bring plenty of swimbaits since the bowfin and gar bite them and they will tear them up good. Its still a great day on the water when the bite is hot like it is now!

Its funny you say that because my bigger fish we're coming off that gambler big eze but now that I have a senko addiction ? those smaller fish are all over that thing once it hits the water.Thanls for info you have given me clarity lol put down the senko lol

Senkos catch big fish, there's no doubt about that, but they also tear up quite easily, even on small fish. Swimbaits can take much more abuse than a senko and seem to catch me more quality bass. Maybe its a confidence lure for me? All I know is that I catch some giants when I focus on swimbaits and other big bass techniques and stay away from the little bass/medium bass techniques. Nothing wrong with catching small bass, especially if they are biting like they are now( the most bass I caught in 1 day was 149 bass, from public land,all on artificials, in the Everglades).
