I need some ideas. Last year I got into swimbait fishing and now after winter all my boot tails are bent. How can I prevent them from doing this in storage and correct their alignment?

Try this for your soft swimbaits  ...

For your soft swimbaits with bent tails if you boil the tail section for about 30 seconds or so it should restore most of them.

For large hard swimbaits I take the large deep plano boxes and with a dremel tool remove a couple of rows to widen it out , it definitely helps if you are prone to take the more is more approach to fishing tackle that I do as you can store a lot more baits that way.

I have something similar, except I ran 2 pieces of threaded rod with cap nuts on each end close to the top edge. That way I can hang the baits with big snap swivels & not have to pick them all up when I take off the lid.

I've started using these extra large utility trays I got from T.W.  these are the 141-IQ and 142-IQ boxes and comes with zerust.  I use the flat dividers and sandwich the tails of glide baits to keep them flat and straight with a binder clip.
