I've been trying to perfect this thing for a couple years now. I feel like I'm starting to get close. A standard sized 3/8oz with a 6/0 hook for reference. That's a 6" Fat Impact style swimbait that I poured on the back of it.

ooh.  I like this.  I'd imagine that would probably also be a great option for stripers chasing shad/bunker, etc

The way that wipers slam the standard sized one, I would not be surprised.

I bought a Black/Blue 2oz bladed jig from Picasso on a whim with an idea to try it on some of the deeper reservoirs around me, but the idea of kayak trolling for stripers with an oversize one sounds like a much better idea.  

 

I wonder how much drag a pair of them would cause and what speed I would want to keep them thumping?
