So I knocked a hole in my lower unit on my bigger boat, been fishing out of my smaller one for a couple weeks. I Took the 2d lowrance off the trolling motor while big boat is in the shop and figured I would somehow rig it to my small boat without drilling holes (no trolling motor on small boat). Used a nalgene half full of water as my surrogate trolling motor head and it works pretty well! (Feel free to laugh)

I still pull out and use my Lowrance Lo-K-Tor from time to time, just because. Your unit looks like it's reading just fine that way.

That's pretty cool! The name reminds me of the old color C lector that my dad used to dip down into the water

That is a later model Portable with a green center logo and dual depth range, the original 60's model has a white center logo with red print and single 0-95' depth range.

You know your getting old when know the difference between antique flashers!

Mine works!

Tom

PS, walleye or sauger?

Walleye...definitely a "newer" one as it even has the suction cup transducer. I bought it strictly to use on the water when I want. Have an older original as you mention still new in the box that never makes it out of its office display.
