TBAG Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 I try my best to buy everything from a locally owned place and most of the time I can get much better deals than anywhere online or Cabelas/Sportsmans/DSG. I will admit I'll buy some Gammys at Wal Mart or if they have some deals too good to pass up. Quote
Tizi Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Walmart, BPS, Cabelas, TW, Amazon, and Academy. 75% from TW. Quote
Abby Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Use to be Cabelas almost exclusively but I seem to lean more towards BPS lately. I did recently discover Academy and TW with my new smallmouth obsession and the bait monkey has taken over... Quote
All about da bass Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 I'm like the rest, I try to help out the locals. If they don't have what I need, I normally go to Academy's or Walmart. The bigger companies seem to add a lot more value to their products than what they should be. If I don't feel like driving an hour to those stores, I just order online. Quote
J.Vincent Posted March 31, 2018 Posted March 31, 2018 For a long time I avoided Walmart but now I purchase all my Plano 3700 and 3600 tackle trays from them; I also pick up fishing line in a pinch and clearance plastics from Wallys World. For everything else including planned purchases; I shop ebay, Dicks Sports, Meijers, Cabelas, BPS and Academy for the best price. Quote
Super User Boomstick Posted April 1, 2018 Super User Posted April 1, 2018 I buy a lot of stuff at local sporting goods stores, Walmart, Dick's and local sporting goods stores on a regular basis. I'll buy a lot of stuff from Bass Pro and Cabela's when I get there. A lot of stuff I can't find locally I will buy from Tackle Warehouse or Tackle Supply Depot (who is a state away and ships to me really fast). Quote
Phil B Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 I usually end up going to Wal mart. We have a pretty good selection, but I always shop the clearance stuff. Our closest Academy sports is 30 miles away. In a town of 18000 people we have a dozen banks,60+places to eat but only two places to buy fishing tackle. Be a good place to put in a sporting goods store. Quote
jtharris3 Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 Tackle Warehouse, Cabela's (live 5 minutes from one), occasional WallyWorld raids, and BassPro. Quote
frosty Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 It kinda depends. I’m an hour away from academy, but when I’m over there I definitely stop in. There’s a nice tackle store but I never seem to be going that direction, so most of my stuff I buy from tackle warehouse, unless it’s jigs, I buy all those at @Siebert Outdoors I’ve got a few other jigs and they all seem cheap to me after fishing with sieberts! 1 Quote
Riazuli Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 With whoever has the best price on what I'm looking for at the time or has the best sale going on. It shifts between BPS, Cabelas, TW, Academy, Dick's, Walmart, and Ebay for the most part. Quote
