Hey guys this is my second year fishing high school tournaments, and I have one at Pickwick. I'm not asking for your lunker holes, I just need to catch a limit. I'll be launching for J.p. Colman state park boat ramp. I have only fished here once and I only caught two fish weighing 6 pounds. I think there was another thread kinda on this but it was from like 2013. Hope I'm not asking for to much, thanks guys.

Right now it's all about structure around the mouth of the cove and secondary points.

When you first come out of the harbor at JP Coleman, fish the wind dyke first. Coleman

hosts tournaments year around, so that area is restocked every week.

The Rig is your friend!

When is your tournament? I spent a week there last june. Ledge fishing at that time of course.

No...You need way points that you cannot establish on a single trip.

More importantly, ledge fishing is something we do in the summer.

Ok, Well I'm fishing two to three days before. I can't really take off much more from school and my coach can't take off any more days than he is. I'll just have to suck it up and fish hard I guess. I want to become a proffesional, but that's a huge dream. I'm trying to learn as much as I can that way I can hopefully fish in college. So every fact I get I try to soak it up and use it. Thanks guys, y'all seem to know way more than I do , lol I'm still learning.

I would think fish will be all over the banks on 4/14. Wacky rig senko and square bill cranks should get you a limit pretty easy. That should a dream time to be on Pickwick as well! Hope you catch a bunch!

Thanks guys, that really means a lot. I hope I'm able to a bunch, I have a feeling I will because those are like my go to baits. Thanks again!
