Whats the most versatile casting rod mh or h for throwing jigs, topwater, frogs, spinnerbaits? I was considering *** *** and dobyns 734 c. Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I would think a MH-F would be a good bet. I like st Croix personally, which fished a bit on the heavier side. Mojo bass is a nice rod at that price point. Don't know about Dobyns but hear good things.

FR 734C is a good choice.

I recently picked up 2 Fury rods, a 735C & a 795SB. I have to say that they are some of the nicest rods I've seen at that price point. I think a 734C would be perfect for what you're after.

Abu Garcia Veritas gets my vote in your price range.  I own six of them in different configurations.  I own Fenwick Elite Tech, Kistler Magnesium 2 & 3, St Croix, Diawa Tatula, Abu Veracities, a Villain, and one Fantasista Regista.

Two of my most used Veritas are 7’ M/F spinning (current generation) and a 6’9” MH/F (original ~ ‘15).  My favorite small-medium crankbait rod is a 7’ M/M (Winch) 2.0.

My Fenwick’s Elite-Tech’s ran $149.  I find them a little more sensitive and a somewhat ‘lighter’ medium than Abu rods.  Other members might agree: I find Abu Garcia’s MED power rod a slightly heavier medium than my other brands.

No matter what, try to handle as many different rods as you can. The one that feels right in your hands is the best one for you.

Best of luck choosing your rod.

Im a fan of the duckett ghost line of casting rods there around 100 bucks sometimes you cand find them on amazon for 80 bucks. I just picked up a 7' mh f for t-rigs and skipping jigs ill also use it for square bills, chatter baits, spinner baits and lipless cranks. Ill probably spool it with 16lb sunline shooter or sniper floro

Is the  fr734c more in between of mh to heavy feel?

No standard exist, feel is a personal touch. For example my personal choice is 5 power because prefer a more little more ridgid rod for jigs.
