Tamiami trail

Hey guys so I have a question, im taking someone fishing this weekend into the everglades off of Tamiami trail. Ive gone twice this past month and caught a couple off of live bait. I tried this spot and the saw 2 huge bass and pitched shiners and they wouldnt hit. i then threw a zoom trick worm in black and also in junebug i also threw a berkley craw fatty in watermelon and nothing. Any ideas what these bass will bite this time of year? Any advice will be really helpful guys, Thanks and tight lines.

The water is dropping. At least for now. Throw frogs up until around 10am. Then go to a zoom v worm (I use mag) all watermelon color. I’m sure other baits work as well but this will get you bit. 

 

Not sure what boat you have but be careful for those rocks on the trail with water getting low. Stay motoring in the center. They can sure do lots of damage to a boat.

I've hit the glades off of Tamiami for the past couple of weeks and have been catching bass and oscars pitching the baby brush hog in the sungill color with a 3/8 tungsten and the BPS stick worm in the okeechobee magic color texas rigged. I fish from land so it may be a bit different (and better) if your fishing off a boat.

Thanks yeah i will be taking them fishing off the bank. Concerned with not putting the clients on fish. I know people don't usually share locations but any part of the trail specifically  I usually fish around the airplane memorial.. thanks again for the advice guys

Hey guys, so i went last weekend to this spot off the trail i found and killed them with a strike king ocho stick bait. Caught around 4 in 45 minutes. all around 2-3 pounds. They wwere short but fat ones.

The water level has dropped even more since my last post here. The bass fishing is on fire. Enjoy my friends. Once the rainy season hits the fishing slows way down. Until then frogs top water early, jerk baits and worms will give you a great day. Tight lines.
