Larry Becker Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Hi, Contemplating move to Naples, Florida late this year. Wondering if there is public bass fishing there or nearby. I am aware of Quarry Lake, Kings Lake, and Citrus Lake but these are private. Also have heard about Berkshire Lakes, Ave Maria Lakes, and Golden Gate. Can anyone help? Quote
Super User Darren. Posted March 23, 2018 Super User Posted March 23, 2018 Welcome aboard, Larry! We've got a big Florida representation here, they'll soon chime in. Quote
drew4779 Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 My parents own a home in Naples. I always love fishing alligator alley when I visit. Plus, Lake Okeechobee isn't too far away. Not being a local, I don't have too much knowledge about the area as far as local lakes are concerned. However, the neighbors would always suggest the golden gate canal. I asked for some suggestions a number of years ago on this site for fishing Naples. You may still be able to dig up that thread? Quote
Super User geo g Posted March 24, 2018 Super User Posted March 24, 2018 Head to West Naples and Ava Maria University. Lots of man made lakes you can fish. Watch walking the bank for snakes and some decent size gators. Also Gulf Coast College in Naples has a few lakes. Hit Google Earth and look at all the possibilities out there. Good luck. Quote
