Super User NHBull Posted March 22, 2018 Super User Posted March 22, 2018 Howdy folks, i could use use some input for a pitching rod. Looking to throw baits in the 1/2 to 1 ounce. I am most comfortable with Loomis and the GLX flipping/ Pitching has my attention, but am open to all suggestions. So far my pitching has been done with J/W rods. Thanks, Al Quote
Stephen B Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 You say you are comfortable with the GLX. But I have a couple questions. What is your budget? Also, do you have any length constraints/preferences? 1 Quote
Super User Angry John Posted March 22, 2018 Super User Posted March 22, 2018 I don't fish lomis but athe that price and weight range I would be looking at the St Croix le74hf. I have the avid in this power and length and it's amazing. My mhf aND below are sc5 and those rods are amazing. 1 Quote

Stephen B Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 I would consider a Dobyns Champion Extreme, St Croix Legend X or Elite, or Megabass Destroyer. The specific model you choose depends on if you will flipping more around 1/2 oz jigs or 1 oz jigs. 1 Quote
