Howdy folks,

i could use use some input for a pitching rod.  Looking to throw baits in the 1/2 to 1 ounce.

I am most comfortable with Loomis and the GLX flipping/ Pitching has my attention, but am open to all suggestions.

So far my pitching has been done with J/W rods.

 Thanks, Al

You say you are comfortable with the GLX. But I have a couple questions. What is your budget? Also, do you have any length constraints/preferences?

I don't fish lomis but athe that price and weight range I would be looking at the St Croix le74hf.  I have the avid in this power and length and it's amazing.  My mhf aND below are sc5 and those rods are amazing.

Stephen, I wrestle with that, as I don’t mind paying for quality, .....I do have a couple conquest, but I also have E6X for some moving presentation.......I would like to stay under 500 unless there was a “must have”...sorry for being vague.

with the exception of a Swimbait at 7’ 4”, everything else is around 7

I would consider a Dobyns Champion Extreme, St Croix Legend X or Elite, or Megabass Destroyer. The specific model you choose depends on if you will flipping more around 1/2 oz jigs or 1 oz jigs.
