Joshua Vandamm Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 Hey all. I’m checking out portable diamond stone sharpeners for on the water touch ups. What grit/grain is recommended? I’m looking at 400 - 600. Thanks! Quote

Super User Oregon Native Posted March 23, 2018 Super User Posted March 23, 2018 I've used the diamond file from bass pro. Has two different grits. Works well Quote

Whatever my wife's nail file grit is works great for me. She keeps changing the hiding places to them, nail clippers and nail polish on me.... 3 Quote

I stopped at the local Walgreens to get some "hard as nails" nail polish and the checkout gal was like "This color will look great on you!" I blushed. Quote

Bass Turd Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 I use this one and keep it on a lanyard I wear around my neck that also has my line clipper on it. I find that if it is ultra accessible I am much more prone to use it. It's only a couple inches long. https://www.amazon.com/SE-DF401FS-Diamond-Fishing-Sharpening/dp/B00C7XNJKQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1521821867&sr=8-1&keywords=fish+hook+sharpner 1 Quote
