Hey so I recently learned that some guys use topo maps to identify places bass might hold during the winter, and then move to when they’re spawning. They then draw lines from the deep ridges to the flats that they think would hold some solid prespawn largemouth. This is my attempt at just one small portion of this reservoir. Can anyone give me some insight if these red lines would be good lines to fish, assuming the fish are in prespwan.

The entire screen shot looks good for summer/summer night and winter area with good structure elements.

The creek channel running below the road bed leading into what looks like an arm at lower get side of the screen shoot at base of your yellow circle may hold pre spawners heading into the arm or bay on both sides of the steep break between 10'-15', depending where any bait may be. With more detail on what's missing in the creek arm it's hard to pin point a specific spot pre spawn holding area becuase I don't see a wind protected prime spawning.

I watched a few videos and I tried again. A lot of people I watch say target points leading into shallower spawning areas.

That being said, would these green areas be a better bet for more fish? I think these could all be considered secondary points inside a creek arm on the north side of the lake. I heard that when it’s early spring, the north side of the lake is best to fish because it warms faster.

Again, this is all done while assuming the fish are in the prespawn stage.

The  first map looks like a really good area . It looks to me like the  red lines  you drew are the deep areas  next to  points .  Move those lines over  a little on top of the points  I think would be better .  Right between the top two red lines is a point , saddle  and hump.   Thats a good looking area .  I would be a all over that  spot .

Looks good. The marks in the coves are not points.

Multiple secondary points in a small area are ideal during pre spawn as they allow you to fish  more and run less.

The point at the left side bottom not marked has a longer underwater shape that tends to hold more bass.

The right side has a road bed with sloping bank that isn't a point but looks good for migrating bass to use and feed on.

I think you got the idea now.
